Most of us love ripe and bright orange papaya as a fruit but the raw green papaya is also as much edible and lovable as the fruit is. Raw papaya can be used as a vegetable in our daily diet.. Green papaya has lots amounts of papain and potassium. It is a great idea to include raw papayas for indigestion problem..
Ingredients:
For the koftas-
1 green papaya
1 large size onion
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
Gram flour as required
Salt to taste
5 green chillies
Bunch of coriander leaves
Oil for frying
For gravy:
1 large size onion
2 tomatoes
1 teaspoon ginger- garlic paste
7 cashew nuts
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
Salt to taste
Ghee 1 tablespoon
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
Method:
1. Peel the raw papaya & wash it well.. Grate the papaya finely..
2. Add 1 teaspoon of salt in to the grated papaya & rest it for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes squeeze the access water of it.
3. Now add all the ingredients in to it accept oil. Mix them well.
4. Now make small balls & deep fry
5. Now make the gravy. For the gravy roghly chopped the onion & tomatoes..
6. Heat a pan & add the ghee..
7. Fry the onion till it become golden brown. Add the ginger garlic paste ,tomatoes & cashew nuts too.. Fry them for 5 minutes in low flame. Let it be cool. Now make a fine paste of it..
8. Again heat a pan & add the gravy paste. Add the powdered masala & cook well. Add enough water to make gravy.. When the gravy become thick add the fried koftas. Cook for 5 minutes & serve hot..
