I think nobody hates dum aloo.. There are varities of dum aloo recipe in India. Bengali, Panjabi, Banarasi etc. This recipes usually eats with plain rice, pulao or parathas. This recipe is not an authentic recipe. I just made it by my own creation. But trust me it's lips smacking. Try it once.
10 potato cut in to cube size
1 chopped onion
5 chopped green chillies
2 chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup cream
2 tbsp melon seeds paste
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp 5 spices ( panch foran)
3 dry red chillies
Oil 1/2 cup
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan & add dry red chillies & 5 spices. Let it be crackle.
2. Then add the chopped onion & chopped red chillies. Fry them until a beautiful golden brown colour comes out.
3. After then add the ginger-garlic paste. Fry them for 5 minutes. Then add the chopped tomatoes & salt.. fry them well.
4. Then add the powdered masalas accept garam masala. Cooked well by adding little by little water.
5. Inicially add the potatoes & stir for 5 minutes. Add enough water & cover the lid.
6. When the potatoes are nicely cooked add the cream & melon seeds paste & cooked for 2 minutes more.
7. At last add the garam masala powder. Mix well & serve hot with puri or rice.
