Aloo chop is a delicious bengali fried snack and made in the same way a batata vada or potato bonda is made..
Ingredients:
Boiled potatoes- 4
Gram flour or besan- 2 cup
Rice flour- 2 tablespoon ( optional)
Roasted peanut- 4 tbsp
Green coriander- 2 tbsp
Ginger-garlic paste- 1/2 tsp
Green chillies- 4 finelly chopped
Onion- 1 finelly chopped
Carom seeds- 1/2 tsp
Roasted cumin powder- 1/2 tsp
Turmaric powder- 1/2 + 1/2 = 1 tsp
Ingredients:

Turmaric powder- 1/2 + 1/2 = 1 tsp
Red chilli powder- 1/2 + 1/2 = 1 tsp
Salt- According to taste
Roasted coriander powder- 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder- 1/2 tsp
Pinch of baking soda
Oil for frying
Method:
1. Make a thin batter of gram flour, rice flour, salt, turmeric powder, carom seeds, red chilli powder & water.. Make sure that the batter should neither be too thin nor too thick. And there have no lumps in the batter. Keep it aside.
2. For the stuffing- peel the boiled potatoes & mashed well by hands. Keep it aside.
3. Now heat some oil in a pan and add the chopped onion, chopped green chillies, ginger-garlic paste and saute well.
4. Then add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder & the garam masala powder & saute for somtime.
5. Now mix this masala mixture in to mashed potatoes along with salt, roasted peanuts & green coriander. Mix well & let it be cool completely.
6. For chop lift some mix and make it round then press and flatten it with the help of your palm. Shape all likewise.
7. Deep the aloo tikki in too the batter and deep fry them in low medium flame. Flip and fry until golden brown from both sides. Aloo chop is ready to serve.
