This is an yummy daal preparation using tangy raw mango & red lentil or masoor daal.. Healthy for summer.. It contains lots of protien & vitamin c.
Ingredients:
250 gm red lentil or masoor dal.
4 small sized raw mangoes or according to your taste.
7 slitted green chillies
2 tbsp crushed garlic
1 chopped onion
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp 5 spices or panch foran
3 dry red chillies
Pinch of hing
Salt to taste
Oil as required
Water
Long coriander chopped for garnishing.
Method:
1. Wash & soak the dal for 10 minutes.
2. Now heat oil & add the chopped onion & salt. Fry until it turns golden brown.
3. Now add the daal, chopped mangoes, slitted green chillies & turmeric powder. Fry for 5 minutes.
4. Add enough water to boil the daal. Simmer it for 15 minutes. Stire in between the process.
5. When the daal cooked keep it aside.
6. Now heat some oil again & add the 5 spices, hing & dry red chillies. Let it splutter & pour this temparing in to the daal. Mix well. Garnish with chopped long coriander.
