Malpua is a pancake served as a dessert or a snack originating from the Indian subcontinent, popular in India, Nepal and Bangladesh also. Usually it is make in many festivels of India like Diwali, holi, Eid etc.. It is also goes well with malai rabdi..
1 & 1/2 cup jaggery
1& 1/2 cup water
Pinch of cardamom powder
2 cup plain flour
1 cup semolina
1 cup milk powder
1 tablespoon fennel seeds
Pinch of salt
Pinch of baking soda
Warm milk as required
Method:
1. Make a syrup of jaggery & water & pinch of cardamom powder in low flame. Keep aside.
2. Now mix plain flour, semolina, milk powder, fennel seeds, salt & baking soda.
3. Now add the jaggery syrup to the dry mixture & mix together. Add warm milk as required for the batter. Leave it for 1 hour.
4. Then heat a pan & add cooking oil & clarified butter. Add the batter with the help of a spatula in to the oil & fry it in low flame..
